School-Based Health Clinics Launch at Two Scott County Schools |
Garth and Southern elementary schools pilot convenient care for students and their school communities |

Garth and Southern elementary schools now have a new option for addressing routine healthcare needs through a pilot partnership between Scott County Schools and Centerpoint Health.
The program, announced October 22, brings school-based care to students, faculty, staff and the immediate families of students attending the two schools.
Services include minor illness and injury care, wellness visits, preventive services, chronic-condition management, sports physicals, immunizations and specialty referrals when needed.
Rachel Johnson, APRN, provides nurse-practitioner care across the two locations, with family physician Dr. Todd Reinhart serving as medical director.
The clinics are intended to complement students’ established primary care providers, with coordination whenever possible.
Participation requires family consent, and parents should ask about enrollment, appointments, insurance and any charges before arranging care.
The pilot will help evaluate possibilities for expanding school-based healthcare access.
